Personal Projects

Ottoman Inspired Venetian Gown (2024)

I drafted and sewed this dress in for my Christian-Muslim Relations class last spring based on a sketch of a Venetian gown from 1495 and using Ottoman inspired techniques and textiles. It is self drafted and made from stretch velvet, Turkish upholstery fabric, a polyester/cotton blended voile, a custom cotton fabric with my visual research printed on it, and various trims.

18th Century Versailles Court Gown (2023)

This gown and its undergarments were self-drafted and sewn as an independent research project. It is made of silk taffeta with cotton lace and polyester loop trim. It was funded by the Frederick Honors College Creative Arts Fellowship.

Shawl Collar Blazer (2023)

I drafted and stitched this blazer for myself as the final for my drafting independant study.

Chiffon Dress (2023)
